Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on experience)

We are working in partnership with a number of respected secondary schools in Wellingborough, all seeking enthusiastic and committed English Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. These schools are focused on delivering engaging, inclusive, and high-quality English education that equips students with critical thinking, communication skills, and a lifelong love of reading and writing.

About the Role:
These are full-time, permanent teaching roles, offering opportunities to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4. Some schools may offer Key Stage 5 English for suitable applicants.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across the English curriculum

  • Using assessment data effectively to monitor progress, identify gaps, and adapt teaching accordingly

  • Creating an inclusive learning environment that supports the needs of all students, including those with SEND or EAL

  • Encouraging analytical thinking, creativity, and confidence in both spoken and written communication

  • Collaborating with English department colleagues to share best practice and enhance curriculum delivery

  • Contributing to wider school life through enrichment activities such as book clubs, debating societies, and literacy events

What We're Looking For:
We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and a passion for literature and language

  • Ability to inspire and challenge students of all backgrounds and abilities

  • Confident classroom management skills and a proactive approach to pastoral care

  • A commitment to professional development and collaborative working

  • Enthusiasm for contributing to whole-school literacy initiatives and extracurricular programmes
