SEN Teaching Assistant - Corby

We are recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a number of specialist and mainstream schools with SEN provisions in Corby. These long-term roles are ideal for individuals passionate about inclusion and ready to provide 1:1 and small group support to children with additional needs.

About the Role:

  • Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties

  • Work 1:1 or with small groups under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO

  • Help students engage in lessons and access the curriculum using differentiated and adaptive approaches

  • Assist with personal care or behaviour management when required (full training provided)

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or community settings)

  • A calm, empathetic, and consistent approach to behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and outside agencies

  • A willingness to support pupils with personal care or challenging behaviour where needed

  • Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. Team Teach, Autism Awareness, CACHE Level 2/3) - desirable but not essential

  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
