💷 Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

SANZA Teaching Agency, a Sunday Times Top 100 Company to Work For, is proud to be supporting a fantastic and inclusive primary school in Brent, which is seeking a dedicated and skilled Premises Manager / Lead Caretaker to oversee all aspects of site management and maintenance across the school grounds.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in facilities or site management to take on a lead role in ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient learning environment for pupils and staff alike.
About the Role:
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the school site, including buildings, grounds, and facilities.
Carry out regular health & safety checks, fire alarm testing, and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
Manage and coordinate contractors, cleaning teams, and external service providers.
Lead on site security, including opening and closing the premises, monitoring access, and responding to emergencies.
Oversee maintenance budgets and carry out basic repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance.
Work closely with senior leadership and school business managers to ensure the site is safe, welcoming, and well maintained.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, or site management role (ideally in a school or similar environment).
Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations, COSHH, and premises compliance.
Practical DIY and maintenance skills with the ability to carry out minor repairs independently.
Good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to lead and manage others.
A proactive, can-do attitude and the flexibility to support school events and occasional out-of-hours requirements.
A valid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one through SANZA.
