Job Description

We are currently seeking two dedicated 1:1 Support Teaching Assistants to join a supportive secondary school in Sefton, working closely with pupils in Years 10 and 11.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Deliver targeted interventions to help students reach academic and personal development goals

  • Offer in-class support to enable full access to the curriculum

  • Facilitate small group support sessions as directed by teaching staff or SENCO

  • Support with emotional regulation, social interaction, and behaviour management


Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience supporting young people with ASD and/or other additional needs

  • Previous 1:1 support experience (school-based or in other settings)

  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • School experience is not essential - we welcome applicants from youth work, care, or similar backgrounds
