Job Description
We are currently seeking two dedicated 1:1 Support Teaching Assistants to join a supportive secondary school in Sefton, working closely with pupils in Years 10 and 11.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Deliver targeted interventions to help students reach academic and personal development goals
Offer in-class support to enable full access to the curriculum
Facilitate small group support sessions as directed by teaching staff or SENCO
Support with emotional regulation, social interaction, and behaviour management
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Experience supporting young people with ASD and/or other additional needs
Previous 1:1 support experience (school-based or in other settings)
A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
School experience is not essential - we welcome applicants from youth work, care, or similar backgrounds
