Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and complex needs?
We are currently recruiting two SEN Support Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist school setting supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional needs.
Role Overview:
Provide in-class support to pupils with ASD across a range of abilities and needs
Work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
Collaborate with teaching staff and therapists to deliver personalised strategies and interventions
Promote independence, engagement, and inclusion in a specialist learning environment
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with ASD and complex additional needs
A calm, patient, and consistent approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
Willingness to follow behaviour and communication plans, including use of visuals or sensory strategies
School experience is not essential - backgrounds in care, youth work, or similar roles are welcome
