Learning Support Assistant - Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. - Empower Students to success!
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their secondary support team, dedicated to aiding students with a variety of educational needs.
You will be working under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff, providing targeted, one-to-one and group support, both in and out of the classroom.
What You'll Do:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs
- Help students engage with learning and build independence
- Support teaching staff with planning, assessment, and behaviour management
- Promote positive peer interaction and inclusion
- Supervise students during break-times and school trips/events
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with young people
- Knowledge of SEN strategies
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach
- Qualifications in English and Maths (preferred)
- Patience, resilience, and adaptability
