Learning Support Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Barking
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our friendly and inclusive secondary school in Barking.

About the role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. You will:

  • Provide in-class support for students, including those with additional needs.

  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored interventions.

  • Work with teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support students' academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with students to encourage resilience and success.

About you
We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting (desirable but not essential).

  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

  • Good communication and organisational skills.

  • A genuine commitment to supporting young people to achieve their best.
