SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary school - Doncaster

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis across primary schools in Doncaster. With both flexible supply work and long-term opportunities available we can help out with a wide range of roles.

Location: Doncaster Primary Schools
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day and longer-term roles available

About the Role: As an SEN eaching Assistant, you will support class teachers on a small group and 121 basis, supporting pupils in EY, KS1, and KS2 with a wide range of SEN. Your duties will include providing targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, encouraging pupil engagement and managing behaviour, and helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preffered but not essential.

  • Experience working within EYFS, KS1 or KS2 in a primary school setting

  • Experience working with SEN.

  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting children's learning

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

  • Flexibility and reliability to travel to different schools in the Doncaster area
