Targeted Intervention Specialist - Cornwall
Full-time or Part-time | Primary & Secondary | October Start

Are you passionate about helping children close the gaps in their learning and reach their full potential? Tradewind Recruitment is working with several schools across Cornwall that are looking for Targeted Intervention Specialists to support pupils who need extra help in phonics, reading, writing, and maths catch-up sessions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children on a more personalised, 1:1 or small group basis, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and make real progress.


What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering focused phonics, reading, writing, and maths interventions

  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to close learning gaps

  • Supporting teachers to identify pupils who need targeted catch-up

  • Tracking progress and adapting sessions to meet individual needs

  • Creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment


What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school or education setting

  • Knowledge of phonics and literacy strategies is desirable

  • Confidence delivering small group interventions

  • Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach

  • Passion for helping pupils succeed and thrive
