Job Title: Temporary Finance Assistant

Start Date: Immediate

Location: Wirral, CH63
Contract: Temporary, at least until the end of this half term
Hours: Full-time (5 days per week) - flexibility for 4 days per week may be considered for the right candidate

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Grammar School in Wirral for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join the school on a temporary basis with immediate effect. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong finance administration skills who can work accurately under pressure and contribute to the smooth running of our finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

Process purchase invoices for payment in line with Financial Procedures.
Raise weekly payments for outstanding creditors.
Post bank receipts, direct debits, and direct payments to the finance system.
Issue and process sales invoices, ensuring timely receipt of outstanding payments.
Balance and post all corporate card payments on a monthly basis.
Reconcile all bank accounts each month.
Maintain and reconcile petty cash on a weekly basis.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a finance administration role.
Strong organisational and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Experience with PS Financials (Iris system) would be an advantage.
Confident IT skills, including Excel and financial software.
