School Caretaker
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Ellesmere Port - Secondary School, Ofsted Rated 'Good'
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Plus Additional Weeks
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Duration: Initially for the academic year, with potential extension

Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of an Ofsted Rated 'Good' secondary school in Ellesmere Port. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join the site team from September 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the school premises, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and site improvements

  • Ensuring the security of the school site, including opening/locking up as required

  • Monitoring and maintaining health and safety standards across the school

  • Assisting with deliveries, setting up rooms, and supporting school events

  • Liaising with contractors and reporting any major repairs

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a caretaking, site management, or maintenance role (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

  • Strong practical and DIY skills

  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures

  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work
