School Caretaker - Primary School, Sheffield
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 12:00pm - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday


Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in site maintenance, caretaking, or a similar role to play a vital part in the day-to-day running of a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained

  • Carrying out basic repairs and general maintenance

  • Overseeing cleaning standards and site presentation

  • Managing site security, including locking/unlocking the school

  • Supporting the smooth running of school facilities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous caretaking, facilities, or maintenance experience (school experience desirable but not essential)

  • Strong practical skills and a proactive approach

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A commitment to health & safety standards

  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
