Unqualified History Teacher - Rugby
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive secondary school in Rugby that is looking to appoint a motivated Unqualified History Teacher to join their team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a History graduate or aspiring teacher to gain valuable classroom experience in a full-time role.

About the Role:

  • Deliver History lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, using pre-prepared materials and resources

  • Engage learners through clear communication and dynamic teaching approaches

  • Encourage historical thinking, discussion, and analytical writing skills

  • Support pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds, including those with additional needs

  • Work alongside qualified teachers in the Humanities department to plan and assess student progress

  • Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment

Ideal for Candidates Who:

  • Hold a degree in History or a related subject

  • Are considering a future in teaching and want to build classroom experience

  • Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, or mentoring role

  • Are confident in managing behaviour and delivering content in a clear, engaging way

  • Are proactive, reliable, and open to feedback and professional development

What You'll Need:

  • A relevant degree (History or closely related field)

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A passion for working with young people and supporting learning

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday
