SEN Teaching Assistant (Reception) - Primary School, Fleetwood - FY7
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Pay is between £14-£15 per hour.
Contract: Term time / Temporary
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young children with special educational needs? A thriving primary school, located in the FY7 area of Fleetwood, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our SEN Hub, working specifically with Reception-aged children. School cap park and bus route options are available for a commute.
About the Role:
This vital role involves providing tailored support to Reception-aged children within our SEN Hub. The children you will be supporting have mild Special Educational Needs, including:
- Global Learning Delay
- Autism Spectrum Condition
- Social and Emotional Needs
You will be instrumental in helping these children access their learning, develop key skills, and thrive within a nurturing and inclusive environment. Your ability to build rapport, understand individual needs, and implement strategies to support their development will be key.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with young children, particularly those with SEN.
- Experience of reception or early years children.
- Possess a strong understanding of needs associated with global learning delay, autism, and social/emotional difficulties.
- Be patient, resilient, and highly adaptable.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- Be proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to inclusive education.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN qualification) are highly desirable.
