Teaching Assistant - Year 2 (Autism Support)
Location: Chesterfield
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed Term until at least Christmas

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with autism, working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide tailored, one-to-one support in Year 2.

About the Role:

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

  • Supporting a child with autism on a 1:1 basis, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.

  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that support learning, communication, and social development.

  • Encouraging independence and building positive relationships.

About You:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including autism, is essential.

  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach with excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a supportive team and adapt to meet the needs of the child.
