Tradewind Recruitment is currently supporting a further education institution in Northampton in their search for a dynamic and knowledgeable Social Science Teacher to cover a temporary vacancy. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your passion for Psychology, Criminology, and Sociology with post-16 learners in a supportive, engaging environment.

This role will suit a teacher who enjoys variety and has experience delivering across multiple social science disciplines. You'll work with students who are preparing for careers in public services, social work, counselling, and related fields. The curriculum is stimulating, relevant, and focused on helping learners understand real-world social issues.

Requirements:

  • QTS/QTLS or relevant teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge across Social Sciences

  • Experience teaching post-16 learners preferred

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
