Design & Technology (DT) Technician - Secondary School - Bexley

Immediate Start | Full-Time | Long-Term | Competitive Pay (PAYE)

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic DT Technician to join the Design & Technology department at a welcoming secondary school in Bexley. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, offering a fantastic opportunity to be part of a creative and supportive team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare, set up and maintain tools, equipment and materials for DT lessons (including woodwork, metalwork, and graphics)

  • Support teachers and students during practical sessions and demonstrations

  • Maintain a safe and organised workshop, ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed at all times

  • Carry out routine maintenance of equipment and machinery

  • Assist with stock management and ordering supplies

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a technician (preferred but not essential)

  • A keen interest in Design & Technology and supporting student learning

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • A proactive, flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
