Teaching Assistant - Primary SEND School (Chesterfield)
Start: As soon as possible | Full Time | Permanent

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a specialist primary SEND school in Chesterfield to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This school caters for children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who are not in mainstream education due to a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs. The role offers the chance to make a real difference to vulnerable children, supporting them both in school and in the wider community.

The Role:

  • Full-time, permanent position (initially pay rolled through Tradewind Recruitment before transferring to a direct school contract).

  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them engage in learning and develop positive relationships.

  • Travelling between school sites and conducting home visits where required (mileage expenses paid).

What We're Looking For:

  • A patient, professional and resilient individual able to build trust and positive relationships with vulnerable children.

  • Someone with excellent communication and behaviour management skills.

  • A driver with access to your own car (essential).

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH is highly desirable but not essential for the right person with the right attitude and commitment.
