SEN HLTA - Swindon - Immediate Starts For The Right People!
Tradewind Recruitment are hiring! Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We're looking for experienced SEN HLTAs to join our fantastic partner schools in Swindon for various roles on a part-time and full-time, long-term or short-term basis starting now and in January 2026!
About the role:
* Work within a specialist alternative provision supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) and EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties).
* Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions.
* Step up to cover lessons when required - all planning and work will be provided.
* Be a strong role model with excellent classroom management skills.
* Full-time, term-time only (school hours).
* Pay from £100 per day, paid weekly via PAYE.
This is a brilliant opportunity for confident HLTAs who is resilient, proactive, and passionate about helping young people thrive. Our client schools are keen to have supply staff who can commit through to July 2026, with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
We're looking for:
✅ At least 3 months of HLTA experience (ideally in SEN/SEMH settings).
✅ Confidence in covering classes and managing behaviour.
✅ A caring, reliable, and adaptable professional.

Requirements:
* Minimum 6 months' HLTA or SEN experience (certifications desirable).
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure and references (overseas police checks if applicable).
* Full employment history covering the past 10 years (with explanations for any gaps).
* The legal right to work in the UK.
