Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a high-achieving secondary school near Crewe to recruit a talented and dedicated Social Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This is a full-time, temporary position, ideal for an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT ready to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

📚 About the Role:

  • Position: Teacher of Social Sciences

  • Subjects: Sociology and/or Psychology (potential for Health & Social Care, depending on experience)

  • Key Stages: KS4 and KS5

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract: Full-time, temporary (with potential for extension or a permanent role)

  • Location: Crewe and surrounding areas

  • Salary: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience and qualifications

👤 Who We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification)

  • Experience delivering Sociology, Psychology, or Health & Social Care at GCSE and/or A-Level

  • A strong classroom presence and the ability to engage and inspire learners

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the social sciences

  • A reflective practitioner who is committed to continued professional development
