Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technician to join a thriving Secondary School in Salford, Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to support the smooth running of a busy Science department.

We are only considering applicants who have hands-on experience with laboratory equipment. Ideally, you will have previously worked as a Science Technician within a school, college, or university environment and be confident in supporting Biology, Chemistry, and Physics practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and setting up apparatus, equipment, and resources for practical science lessons.

• Supporting teachers and students during experiments and demonstrations.

• Maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment to ensure safe and effective use.

• Managing stock levels and ordering laboratory resources where required.

• Ensuring the correct storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals in line with COSHH guidelines.

• Assisting in maintaining a safe, organised, and engaging science learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Science Technician in a school, college, or university.

• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.

• COSHH training and awareness of health and safety requirements.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative Science team.

This role is available for an immediate start, offering a competitive daily rate of £90-£100, with full support from Tradewind Recruitment.
