Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Helston, Cornwall
Salary: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term

We're looking for a committed and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to support children in Helston who need a little extra understanding, patience, and encouragement.

This role isn't just about being in the classroom - it's about building trust, providing consistency, and helping students to overcome barriers so they can thrive both academically and personally. You'll work 1:1 and in small groups, offering support that makes a real difference every single day.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an SEMH or SEN setting (but we also welcome applicants from care, youth work, or other transferable backgrounds).

  • A calm, resilient, and nurturing approach to behaviour and learning support.

  • Someone who thrives in a team and genuinely wants to see young people succeed.
