Temporary SEN Administrator

Maghull secondary school, Liverpool
Full Time or would consider Part-Time (Approx. 20 hours/week over 3-4 days)
Salary: £14.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Maghull. This is a vital role in helping to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Department, supporting the SENCo and wider team with essential administrative tasks.

This position is ideal for someone with previous experience in education, a passion for supporting young people with additional needs, and a strong administrative background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update SEN records including EHCPs, IEPs, and provision maps
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with parents, external agencies, and school staff
  • Support the SENCo with paperwork, reports, and annual reviews
  • Monitor and track intervention programmes and their outcomes
  • Manage SEN correspondence (emails, phone calls, documentation)
  • Provide general admin support: photocopying, filing, data entry, and preparing resources

Person Specification

We are looking for a proactive and professional administrator who can work independently and as part of a team.

Essential:

  • Previous experience working in a school or SEN setting
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and school MIS systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable:

  • Experience in a secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of SEN procedures and statutory requirements
  • Familiarity with EHCP processes and annual review systems
