About the Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children who may display challenging behaviour, have experienced trauma, or require additional emotional support. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams, you will:
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEMH needs.
Assist in managing behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
Support the delivery of a creative and nurturing curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
Help foster resilience, confidence, and independence in pupils.

What We're Looking For
To succeed as an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will need to demonstrate:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEN, or in a care/mentoring role.
Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with pupils who may show challenging behaviours.
The ability to adapt to different situations and meet pupils where they are in their learning journey.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to location).
