Computing Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Computing Teacher to work in an excellent school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, starting 1st January 2026 and last for a full year (Christmas 2026). In this role, you will be covering Computing/Computer Science to Key Stage 4 and 5 students only. Full planning and marking is expected for this role, as it would be for a full time teacher, and as such payment will be in line with the Main Teaching Pay Scale. This scales to between £32,916 to £51,047 per year, or £168.80 to £261.77 per day when scaled to a daily rate. This is a temporary position, covering a period of absence due to maternity. This role is full time, but we would be interested in discussing this role with candidates who can work four days per week, as there may be some flexibility on the timetable.

This role will involve teaching Computing to Key Stage 4 and 5 students, so a true subject specialist is required for this role. You will be responsible for planning all the lessons, marking/assessing work, and attending any parents evenings that come up throughout the year.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Have experience teaching Computing/Computer Science to Key Stage 5
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
