About The Role:
This Lytham based Primary School is seeking a highly motivated Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice to join their busy school office team. The successful candidate will be the backbone of the administrative function, ensuring the efficient running of the school's front-of-house and back-office operations.
You will be working closely with the School Business Manager and existing administrative staff. Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for someone with high energy, a positive, professional attitude, and an ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining excellent organisational skills. This is a vital role supporting all staff, pupils, and parents.
Our Training Provider:
Blackpool and the Fylde College and Nelson and Colne College Group are two of our college apprenticeship providers. They will provide the training and support you need to achieve your Level 3 Business Administration qualification, equipping you with the essential skills and knowledge for a successful career in business and professional administration. You will typically be allocated two afternoons per week to complete your coursework.
The Opportunity:
As a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice in Lytham, you will work as part of the core administrative team to support the day-to-day operations of the school. You'll gain hands-on experience in a professional office environment while receiving structured training from your college provider to achieve your Level 3 qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn and build a rewarding career in business administration across the Fylde Coast.
Key Responsibilities:
Handling incoming and outgoing communications, including answering phones, managing email correspondence, and dealing with visitors professionally.
Assisting with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate school records (both digital and physical) in compliance with GDPR.
Providing administrative support to the School Business Manager and senior leadership team.
Managing office supplies and placing orders as needed.
Supporting HR and finance functions with basic administrative tasks (e.g., processing invoices, logging staff data).
Participating in training sessions and completing coursework to achieve the Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
Following school policies and procedures, particularly those related to data protection and confidentiality.
What We Are Looking For:
Pass grades in Maths and English (GCSE Level) or equivalent.
A genuine interest in starting a career in business, finance, or professional administration.
Enthusiasm and a positive 'can-do' attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A willingness to learn and develop new IT and administrative skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A commitment to the full duration of the apprenticeship program.
Residency and eligibility to work in the UK.
