The range of nursery jobs we provide vary from junior roles to management roles, so it doesn’t matter whether you are fully qualified or not, we can find you your dream Nursery Job. We don’t only provide nursery jobs in Bristol, but we also have a full range up and down the UK.

If you are a caring individual who has a passion for working with children of a young age, then a nursery role is for you! You will be working closely with a selection of children under the age of five, ensuring they have the appropriate physical, emotional and intellectual care. You will see them grow into individuals helping them develop vital skills day by day.

There are many different types of nursery jobs across the UK, and most will require you to be a flexible individual with your working hours, be aware of policies and guidelines set out by the nursery and place appropriate limitations for the children in your care. When you have experience within a Nursery Role, you will be able to grow as a person, expand your knowledge and develop your management skills. This will become vital in years to come, whether you stay in your nursery job or go into teaching. Tradewind Recruitment can help you find a Nursery Job in Bristol, so get in touch today.

Nursery Job roles

  • Develop different programmes for each child, suitable for the age range within your area.
  • Liaise with parents during parent’s evenings outlining development strengths and weaknesses.
  • Participate in training days and staff meetings whether that is before or after working hours.
  • Provide a comfortable learning environment for all children to develop their skills.

What Qualifications do I need?

Different nurseries will have different policies, and most will employ unqualified candidates for a junior level role, as long as they have the correct GCSE grades and appropriate work experience. For many manager positions, you need a full qualification, for example, the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce.

Below are some requirements of a Nursery Worker

  • Work experience with children at a younger age range, preferably under five years old.
  • Grade A* - C in GCSE level qualifications, particularly for the core subjects.
  • A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be carried out which you must pass to be able to work with children.

How can improve my chances of getting a Nursery Job?

If you don’t have any work experience, we recommend you get some at your local school or nursery. You can get employed without any qualifications; however, they do give you that edge over other candidates. We have listed just some of the recognised qualifications that will help you land a nursery job: National Nursery Examination Board (NNEB) Diploma, Level 3 Diploma in Pre-School Practice, BTEC in Nursery Nursing, Level 2 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification, and having a First Aid Qualification is also desirable.

At Tradewind Recruitment, we run regular teaching and nursery workshops that will help you land your dream job in Bristol and around the UK.
