The school is situated in the north of Hull in the East Riding and has good transport links. The school are seeking a dedicated EYFS teacher to teach on a full time basis to cover a planned sickness. Knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum is essential. You will be supported by a strong team with clear goals for the future. The schools has excellent facilities and has been a beacon of support for the local area during the pandemic. The class is an average sized class with a variety of abilities. You will have a full time teaching assistant who has worked with the school for 10 years so is very knowledgeable about the area and the children who are in the classes. They have worked with this class for the past 2 years. You will also have the support of a HLTA part time to undertake inventions as and when necessary.

The school itself is very modern with access to the best technology. They have recently been granted over 30 Ipads for use across the school. They also have access to a large outdoor space which they encourage teachers to use for outdoor learning wherever possible. On their OFSTED they were commended for the way the school uses this space and engages all learners. The school are also keen for teachers to become part of the wider school life, so if a teacher has an interest in providing an extra curricular club then they would welcome this. The Headteacher has worked at the school for many years and is keen to offer the teacher who takes this role support where possible.

Payment for this will be between £100.00 and £189.00, depending on experience and qualifications. We are interested in hearing from practitioners who are both NQT's or highly experienced EYFS teachers.

Overview of the role:

  • Be responsible for your own class on a full-time basis
  • Developing curricular knowledge as required by the school
  • Undertaking observations of the pupils and contribute to pupil records
  • Administering (and marking) class tests
  • Abiding by and work towards all the policies within the school e.g. behaviour management, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities
  • Carrying out the above duties in accordance with the Children's Services Department's Equal Opportunities Policy.

Essential requirements: QTS (or equivalent), legal right to work in the UK, a CV with a full 10 year work history and a fully enhanced DBS.
