About the Role - Literacy Coordinator & Primary Teacher - Newham, East London
From September, this well run 2 form entry Primary School located in the heart of Newham, East London is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced class teacher in either Key Stage 1 or 2 that can take responsibility for Literacy throughout the school. The school is well run with a low staff turnover and settled SLT that provide the schools teaching staff with all the support they need to help progress their students. The school's intake is very mixed in terms of culture with EAL accounting for around half the school's roll. There is also a larger than average number of pupils on free school meals in this low socioeconomic area. The students at this school react well to fun, vibrant lessons and the creative curriculum taught has been designed with the students' needs in mind. As with all inner London schools there can be elements of challenging behaviour although the school has excellent behaviour policies to deal with this effectively.
