I am looking for candidates with the drive and people skills to be strong team players and role models to young people who are facing significant challenges at school and at home. Working in a Pupil Referral Unit with Primary aged students, your work will be vital to helping these pupils build a positive foundation for Secondary school and for later life.

If you feel you have a good understanding of SEMH needs and you are able to manage conflict and challenging situations on a regular basis, you will thrive in this role. With a strong and supportive team around you, the staff team form the core of the school. Staff are passionate, positive and consistent role models for students and aim to lead the way in all they do. If you feel you can inspire and are passionate about making positive changes in the lives of young people, then this is the role for you.

Within walking distance from Ealing Broadway, the school is easy to reach by train, tube or bus. The team start the day at 8am with morning meetings to ensure all staff are briefed by Senior Leadership and have the latest updates on pupils they are working with.

As the role starts in January, we are shortlisting candidates for interviews now. If successfully shortlisted an interview will be arranged at the school, so you can see the school site and meet with the head teacher and primary manager. The school also offer a full paid trial day to give you a chance to work alongside the students for a day to ensure you are confident and happy in the role and at the school.

Key skills required to be successful in this role are rapport and relationship building, resiliency and emotional stability, consistency, empathy and strong boundaries. Candidates who have been successful at the school previously have often come from a sporting, arts or musical background. If you have skills in these areas, I encourage you to apply.
