Are you an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is looking for a class teaching role in a 'Good' community primary school in the lovely Hampstead area of North West London?

A primary school in the Camden area are seeking an experienced and qualified teacher to start with them in February 2020 or sooner, initially for the remainder of the 2019/20 academic year, but with potential permanent role available from September 2020. The role is on a full-time basis, and would involve teaching a fantastic Year 5 class. Competitive salary available - MPS 2-5 Inner London - £32,070-£38,230, dependent upon experience.

The school use a theme-based approach when planning their curriculum. This means that, where possible, teachers plan to creatively link subject areas in each theme so that children can see how learning links together across the curriculum. Some topics are more traditional topics such as The Tudors or Space, others are more unique such as Let's Go to the Movies or Conflict and Co-operation.

The core duties of this Year 5 Primary Teacher role are:

*Carry out teaching duties to meet objectives specified in the school's schemes of work and National Curriculum
*To assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of assigned pupils as defined by school policy
*To provide a high quality learning experience for pupils
*To work as a member of a specified team and contribute positively to effective working relationships within the school
*Provide or contribute to assessment reports to monitor student progress

It is essential that you demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and behaviour strategies, and have a thorough understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum, with excellent subject knowledge in Numeracy and Literacy.

The school is based near to Hampstead and Finchley Road stations, and is very accessible via Northern line, Jubilee line underground services, as well as Overground services from Hampstead Heath and Finchley Road and Frognal.
