Teaching Assistants Needed for SEN School in Blackpool

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team at a SEN school in Blackpool. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with challenging behaviours. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of children who require additional support in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, including those with challenging behaviour.
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies effectively.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and professionals to meet the individual needs of students.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK, such as a British passport in date or a valid VISA.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Overseas police check if residing outside the UK for more than 6 months in the last 5 years.
  • Previous experience working with SEN children and those with challenging behaviour.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children with diverse needs.
