On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to appoint a Year 3 Class Teacher for a maternity cover commencing December 2020 and running for at least two terms.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, imaginative and driven teacher who works well independently and as part of a team. Applicants will join an innovative, forward-thinking and committed team who are hard working and very supportive. The position would suit dynamic teachers who are able to inspire pupils of all abilities to develop their full potential and the school will welcome newly qualified teachers as well as those with more experience.

About the School:

This is a warm and welcoming school at the very heart of the Stockport community. The school provides a continuous learning journey for children from three to eleven years old and responds to developing and changing needs as pupils transition through the primary phases. As a result of high expectations, children make good progress and achieve well.
The school supports the International Primary Curriculum where learning is made interesting and fun and stimulates curiosity amongst children. At this school, children feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas and taking ownership of their learning. The IPC curriculum develops children's international mindedness as they explore topics related to real life scenarios in the world we live in. It is designed to provide first hand learning experiences, allow the children to develop interpersonal skills, build resilience and become creative, critical thinkers with a growth mindset.

The successful candidate will:
Be an outstanding teacher with the drive and capacity to really thrive in this role as a Year 3 Class Teacher.
Have a thorough up to date knowledge of the range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies and how to implement them effectively
Be able to prepare and plan effectively to meet individual needs and requirements
Be able to lead, motivate and inspire students and colleagues
Be resilient, hard-working, solution focused and wholeheartedly committed to transforming student outcomes
Have a clear understanding of age related expectations for children within the Primary phases.
Know how to use local, national and statistics to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching

The protection of students' welfare is the responsibility of all staff and individuals are expected to conduct themselves in a way that reflects the school principles. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance along with other relevant pre-employment checks. References will be taken up and carefully checked.

Essential Requirements:

Hold QTS Certification
Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
Have the legal right to work in the UK
