Are you a patient, resilient, and nurturing individual with a passion for making a real difference in children's lives? A forward-thinking primary school in Lewisham is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from May 2025.

About the Role:

  • Full-time, long-term position

  • Working in a small class of 5 pupils, all with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and/or Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

  • Supporting the class teacher with learning, behaviour, and emotional support

  • Helping to create a structured, supportive, and safe learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEMH, EBD, or challenging behaviour

  • Is calm, consistent, and positive in their approach

  • Is confident working 1:1 and in small groups

  • Can build strong relationships with students who may have experienced trauma or adverse childhood experiences

  • Is committed to helping children feel safe, valued, and able to succeed
