Your Role as SENDCO

This is a pivotal leadership post with whole-school impact. You will:

✅ Lead the strategic development of SEND provision

✅ Manage and review the progress of pupils with EHCPs and additional needs

✅ Oversee and support a strong team including experienced HLTAs and a Trainee SENDCO

✅ Work closely with SLT, staff, parents, and external agencies to promote inclusive excellence

✅ Ensure full statutory compliance and best practice in SEND

What We're Looking For

✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✔ National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) - essential

✔ Proven experience with SEND and EHCPs in a secondary school context

✔ Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

✔ Deep knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation

✔ A passionate, collaborative leader ready to drive forward positive change
