SEN School in Redbridge is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Mentor / Behaviour Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. We are a specialist provision working with children and young people who experience social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges, providing tailored support to help them thrive in education and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional wellbeing and behaviour.
Work one-to-one or in small groups, delivering structured interventions.
Support students in accessing learning and reintegration into mainstream or specialist settings.
Collaborate with teaching staff, external agencies, and families to provide holistic support.
Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH or PRU setting.
Demonstrates resilience, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Can remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging behaviour.
Has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
