Experienced Teaching Assistant - Personal & Intimate Care | Northampton

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with handful of Further Education Colleges in Northampton looking for experienced Teaching Assistants who are confident providing personal and intimate care to young adults with additional and complex needs.

These roles are ideal for skilled support staff who are ready to bring their expertise into schools where compassion, professionalism, and calm under pressure are valued every day.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing hands-on support with toileting, changing, feeding, and other personal care tasks
• Assisting students with physical or medical needs as part of a highly coordinated support plan
• Creating a safe and nurturing learning environment alongside teaching staff and SEN professionals
• Being a trusted, consistent adult who helps students feel comfortable, confident, and supported

What we're looking for:

• Prior experience in a similar role - whether in a school, college, SEN provision, residential care, or medical setting
• Confidence in delivering intimate care with discretion and empathy
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, dignity in care, and the importance of routine and consistency
• Someone who knows that the work is demanding, sometimes messy, always meaningful - and shows up with calm and purpose every time
