Secondary School Learning Support Assistant - September 2025 Start
Location: Cheshire East
Start Date: September 2025

Salary: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in supportive secondary schools across Cheshire East starting September 2025.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom. You'll be working alongside dedicated teaching staff to:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs, including those with SEND

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

  • Adapt resources and activities to suit individual learning styles

  • Promote students' confidence, independence, and emotional well-being

  • Liaise with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals where appropriate

You may be placed in a general classroom support role or work closely with pupils with specific educational needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or SEMH.


What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or in other settings)

  • A caring, patient, and resilient nature

  • A genuine passion for supporting secondary students

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Psychology degree, or equivalent)

  • Knowledge of the secondary curriculum
