Supply Teaching Assistants - 1:1 SEND Support
Location: Sheffield & Surrounding Areas
Pay: £85 - £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis, providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs in both mainstream and specialist school settings.

What does the role involve?

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH

  • Assisting with both academic work and emotional regulation throughout the school day

  • Working under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support plans

  • Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs

  • Promoting independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school-based or in another care/education setting)

  • A nurturing and calm approach to behaviour management

  • The ability to build strong, positive relationships with children and staff

  • Flexibility to work across Early Years, KS1, and KS2

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
