Science Technician - Secondary Support Role - Waltham Forest
📍 Location: Waltham Forest, East London
🕒 Full-Time | Term-Time Only
💰 £95-£110 per day (experience dependent)
Are you a science graduate or someone with lab experience looking for a school-based role? Secondary schools in Waltham Forest are seeking Science Technicians to join their science departments and support practical learning in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is confident around lab equipment, and values being part of an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up practical equipment for experiments
- Maintaining lab stock, chemicals and resources
- Ensuring health and safety standards are followed
- Supporting practical lessons under teacher guidance
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- A background in science (degree or A-level desirable)
- Experience in lab settings (not necessarily in schools)
- Good organisational skills and a methodical approach
- Awareness of COSHH or CLEAPSS procedures is a bonus
