Job Description

SEND Teachers - North West London

Permanent Roles | Salary: M1 to M5 (Inner London Pay Scale)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by agreement)
Agency: SANZA Teaching Agency
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced SEND teacher or a passionate educator with a strong commitment to inclusive education? Would you thrive leading or supporting a small SEND base within a mainstream primary setting?

SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a number of inclusive and forward-thinking schools across North West London (including Brent, Barnet, Westminster, and surrounding boroughs) that are looking to appoint SEND Teachers for permanent roles beginning in September 2025.

These roles focus on leading small, specialist provisions or resource bases within mainstream schools, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and complex learning difficulties.

👩‍🏫 What the Role Involves:

  • Teaching and supporting small groups of pupils with EHCPs or identified SEND, typically 6-10 pupils

  • Delivering personalised learning plans tailored to each child's academic and social-emotional development

  • Working closely with support staff (TAs, therapists, SENCOs) to ensure a cohesive approach

  • Promoting independence, inclusion, and communication for all learners

  • Monitoring progress and contributing to annual reviews, IEPs, and target setting

  • Collaborating with external agencies, families, and multi-disciplinary teams

  • Supporting transition, behaviour regulation and self-esteem development through a trauma-informed lens

We're Looking for Teachers Who:

  • Hold UK QTS (or equivalent) and have a strong interest in or experience with SEND

  • Are passionate about inclusive, child-centred teaching

  • Have strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiation, and progress measurement in SEND contexts

  • Are confident in behaviour management and de-escalation strategies

  • Are reflective, patient, creative, and calm under pressure

  • Value collaboration with colleagues, families, and external specialists

What You'll Receive:

  • A permanent position within a supported, structured school base

  • Salary in line with the Inner London M1 to M5 pay scale

  • Opportunities for CPD in SEND best practice, behaviour support, and therapeutic approaches

  • Induction support for those transitioning from mainstream

  • Mentorship and progression pathways toward SENCO or inclusion leadership roles

  • The chance to truly transform outcomes for some of the most vulnerable children

At SANZA, we understand that SEND teaching is a vocation, and we're proud to support educators who go above and beyond to meet every child's potential. We partner with schools that share that commitment - settings where inclusion is more than a policy, it's a practice.

Our SEND teachers are matched carefully with schools based on values, teaching style, and support needs to ensure the best fit for all involved.
