Job Title: Level 2 TA - PMLD
Location: Chorley and Blackrod, SEN Provision
Salary: £90 - £105 - depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time
Are you kind, patient, and passionate about supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 TA to join our specialist school community and support pupils with complex needs.
About the Role:
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with PMLD. You will work closely with a skilled multi-disciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and health care staff, to support students aged EYFS - KS5 with:
Sensory needs and multi-sensory learning approaches
Physical disabilities, including supporting pupils who use wheelchairs or mobility aids
Personal care routines, including toileting and feeding
Communication and interaction, including speech and language therapy strategies
Your day-to-day will include creating safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environments tailored to individual needs.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has a genuine interest in supporting pupils with complex physical and learning needs
Is confident assisting with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
Understands (or is eager to learn) how to support sensory regulation and communication needs
Works well within a team and can follow therapy and care plans consistently
Remains calm, empathetic, and positive, even in challenging situations
Has experience in a similar setting (desirable, but not essential - training provided)
