Job Title: Level 2 TA - PMLD
Location: Chorley and Blackrod, SEN Provision
Salary: £90 - £105 - depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time

Are you kind, patient, and passionate about supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)?


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 TA to join our specialist school community and support pupils with complex needs.

About the Role:
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with PMLD. You will work closely with a skilled multi-disciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and health care staff, to support students aged EYFS - KS5 with:

  • Sensory needs and multi-sensory learning approaches

  • Physical disabilities, including supporting pupils who use wheelchairs or mobility aids

  • Personal care routines, including toileting and feeding

  • Communication and interaction, including speech and language therapy strategies

Your day-to-day will include creating safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environments tailored to individual needs.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has a genuine interest in supporting pupils with complex physical and learning needs

  • Is confident assisting with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner

  • Understands (or is eager to learn) how to support sensory regulation and communication needs

  • Works well within a team and can follow therapy and care plans consistently

  • Remains calm, empathetic, and positive, even in challenging situations

  • Has experience in a similar setting (desirable, but not essential - training provided)
