Food Technology Technician

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Food Technology Technician for a fantastic secondary school just outside of Hull. This role is to start as soon as possible or in September 2025, and ideally we are looking for a temporary practitioner who may be open to a permanent role in the future, as this is covering a vacancy. Payment for this position will be between £100 and £120 per day. This role is between 8:00AM and 3:00PM, 5 days per week.

This role will involve ensuring the smooth facilitation of the Food Technology department, and will include the following:

• Preparing materials and food for practical lessons
• Setting up workstations
• Assisting teachers and students in practical lessons
• Adhering to health and safety regulations and food hygiene guidelines
• Cleaning up/maintaining a tidy and safe environment

You will be joining a school with an excellent reputation in the local area. Being part of a large (and growing) multi academy trust, success in this role may lead to further opportunities in the future. This school is easy to commute to from most areas of Hull, and surrounding villages (west of Hull).

The school is willing to invest in the future and future training for successful candidates, meaning further training and advancement is possible in this position. Candidates without a food hygiene certificate but experience are advised to apply as the school can sort this.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

• L2 in English and Maths
• Experience in a hands on environment
• Ideally experience within a school environment
• Food Hygiene certificate
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the full CV History
• Legal right to work in the UK
