A specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school in Scunthorpe is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their committed team from September 2025. This is a full-time role for the academic year.

As the successful teacher, you'll be supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils with diverse learning needs. You'll be paid in line with the national teacher's pay scale (M1-M6 equivalent, specific daily rate dependent on experience).

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils, adaptable to varying learning styles and needs.

  • Has experience of or a strong interest in teaching English to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils, ideally within an SEMH or SEND setting.

  • Is committed to inclusive education and celebrates diversity, with a strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies.

  • Works exceptionally well as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

  • Brings creativity, energy, and resilience to their practice, along with a patient and understanding approach.

Who we're looking for:

  • Qualified teachers with QTS OR a recognised teaching qualification.

  • An Enhanced Child Only DBS and/or Overseas Police checks.
