About the Role
Graduate Teaching Assistants play a key role in supporting learning across the school day. This may include:
- Working one-to-one or in small groups with students to reinforce understanding of lesson content
- Assisting pupils with special educational needs, emotional challenges, or those who speak English as an additional language
- Encouraging participation, supporting behaviour management, and helping create a positive classroom atmosphere
- Preparing learning resources, organising displays, and helping teachers track student progress
- These roles are especially well-suited to individuals looking to pursue teacher training or postgraduate qualifications. Every day brings new challenges, valuable experience, and the opportunity to inspire young people.
Who We're Looking For
- Applications are welcome from graduates in any subject. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, and confident in working with young people.
- To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Hold a university degree
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Provide an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
- Supply professional references and, where applicable, an overseas police check
- Submit a full CV covering the last ten years of education and employment history
