KS2 Intervention Teaching Assistant - Year 5 & 6

Start Date: Sept 2025 - July 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (1 Year)
Salary: £90 - £103.10 per day | Term-Time Only

Do you have the skills to deliver targeted interventions in reading, writing, and maths?
SANZA Teaching Agency are seeking a committed Intervention Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Year 5 and Year 6 in a vibrant and inclusive Primary School in Greenwich, just a short walk from Woolwich Arsenal Station (DLR and National Rail).
This is a temporary, full-time position for one academic year, starting ASAP.
About the Role:
- Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions in reading, writing, and maths
- Support pupils in making accelerated progress in preparation for KS2 SATs
- Work closely with class teachers and phase leaders to track progress
- Provide additional support in class where needed and accompany pupils on school trips
- Be part of a skilled and collaborative team of educators
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience supporting Key Stage 2 learners, particularly in Year 5 and 6
- Understands the KS2 curriculum and is confident delivering academic interventions
- Has strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Is proactive, organised, and a strong communicator
- Is reliable, flexible, and thrives in a team environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a TA or intervention role within a primary school
- Solid understanding of KS2 curriculum expectations
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
