Job Description
Targeted Intervention Specialist - Cornwall
£90-£110 per day | Full-time | Term-time only | Start ASAP
We're looking for calm, confident, and compassionate people to take on Targeted Intervention Specialist roles in schools across Cornwall.
These are full-time, long-term roles working with young people who need extra support - academically, emotionally, or behaviourally. Whether it's helping a pupil re-engage after a difficult start to the year, or delivering tailored 1:1 support around literacy, numeracy or behaviour, your role will be to help students feel safe, understood, and ready to move forward.
No two days will look the same. Some students might have unmet SEN, others might be at risk of exclusion - but all of them need someone who can show up consistently, hold boundaries, and make school feel like a place worth showing up for.
This role is ideal for people with backgrounds in education, youth work, support work, or mental health services. You don't need to be a teacher - just someone who can connect, adapt, and make progress happen.
What you'll be doing:
Running focused 1:1 or small-group sessions
Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and self-confidence
Working closely with SENCOs, pastoral leads and classroom staff
Helping track progress and feed into personalised support plans
You'll need:
Experience working with young people (ideally with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs)
A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
Two recent references
The right to work in the UK
In return, you'll get:
Weekly pay and a competitive daily rate
Free training and ongoing support
A role that genuinely changes lives
A consultant who actually understands behaviour and intervention
If that sounds like your kind of challenge - drop me a message and we'll talk through what's available.
