SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools - Barking and Dagenham - September Start

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a number of welcoming secondary schools in Barking and Dagenham, starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while making a real difference in students' lives.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support in and outside the classroom

  • Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs

  • Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and pastoral staff

  • Helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine interest in education and inclusive learning

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
