Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Barking and Dagenham - September Start

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a confident, resilient, and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Barking and Dagenham from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who need extra support with behaviour, engagement, and emotional well-being.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with behavioural challenges in and out of the classroom

  • Building positive relationships and acting as a role model

  • Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and improve focus

  • Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SENCOs

  • Helping to create a calm, safe, and inclusive school environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional needs

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A calm, firm, and consistent approach

  • Ability to remain patient and composed in challenging situations

  • A genuine interest in supporting young people and contributing to their development
