Cover Supervisor
Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire

This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to support students aged 11-16 by supervising lessons during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning in a structured and supportive setting.

About the Role:

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring students stay engaged

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and encourage positive attitudes towards learning

  • Provide support to individual pupils or small groups where needed

  • Report on pupil engagement and behaviour to teaching staff to support ongoing learning

  • Support the school's safeguarding policies and contribute to a safe, respectful classroom environment

  • Assist with break/lunch supervision and transitions between lessons as required

We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in education, tutoring, youth work, or coaching

  • Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills

  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and proactive in managing a variety of classroom situations

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships quickly

  • Interest in education or teaching, with opportunities for career progression and professional development

  • Degree or Level 3 qualifications are beneficial but not essential

  • Willingness to complete safeguarding and other training provided by the school
